DIY Flower Handprint Craft
for mom, grandma, or anyone you love!
For a while we didn’t make many handprint crafts! My son was just starting to realize he didn’t like getting his hands messy. I was hesitant to try this craft for Mother’s Day, but I figured if he didn’t want to make the handprints, we’d just give my mom her flowers anyway. To my great surprise, he so willingly painted his hands and couldn’t wait to see all the pretty flowers we’d made!
Such a simple and easy craft…
Choose your colors - We choose purple, pink, and yellow to mix into the real orange flowers.
Create the Handprints - Paint your child’s hand and gently stamp their print onto cardstock. Don’t worry if they’re not perfect or overlap a little, it gives it that homemade touch!
Cut out the handprints - Once the paint dried, I carefully cut out each handprint.
Hot Glue onto Skewers - With a little line of hot glue, I attached each handprint to a skewer.
Add to the Flowers - Once the hot glue was dry, I stuck each homemade handprint flower into our bouquet of real flowers.
Added touch - I wrote my son’s name and the year on a handprint and wrote “Happy Mother’s Day” on another!
Not only was this little craft easy and fun, it turned out so cute & my mom got a bouquet of flowers to enjoy as well as some sweet memories from her grandson!
Happy Crafting!!
